Human to Human connection is the key...

During the catchup with Rohith to understand MTW Labs story, the future vision was shared & Vineet was brought on board as Head - Partnerships & Community to help the organization scale.

There were four challenges identified:

1) Non-tech entrepreneurs may not find the right tech partners to scale their businesses with technology.

2) Tech companies looking for extended tech teams for short-term & long-term projects.

3) Fresh engineering graduates did not have employable skills.

4) Techies contributing to the Open Source communities

Do Things that don't scale to figure out things that scale.

For the first three months, I went to every meetup & event in the city to understand what was going on in the startup ecosystem and understand whether the entrepreneurs were in sync with the two challenges.

Not able to find the right tech team & also extended teams. When this challenge was addressed.

Every month we did meetups in Hyderabad & Mumbai, and invited these fellow entrepreneurs to attend the session by Rohith and also have 1-1 conversation with Rohith.

This built credibility over the next 6 months & people were asking informally, when is the next session & how can they work with MTW Labs.

Pure knowledge-sharing session to help fellow entrepreneurs & tech teams understand the challenge and have a clear conversation on how to take things forward.

Also supporting & sponsoring a few tech events and meetups to give back to the community in addition to hosting internal hackathons.

The employable skill development & contribution to the tech community was done with our Code Camp program.

Hard Core Value Creation - Knowledge Sharing - Being genuinely interested in creating a mutual growth path. This got us a partner who outsourced a few big projects to us.

While we were there in the ecosystem we found out about the acquisition of a FinTech product & the company was looking for partners to serve their existing clients who were big players in the insurance space such as HDFC Life, R-Life, Edelweiss, & so on leading to a Joint Venture.

When we supported Startup Weekend Hyderabad in the Emerging Tech edition, one of the winners became our Product Innovation Partner.

All this while pivoting the offering to make it a win-win situation for everyone.

The company closed down due to deep financial distress with an abandoned investment offer & failed acquisition.
